Very disappointing. I told my doctor at Gastro MD and the doctor on arrival that I am terrified of endoscopy/colonoscopy because I had one without anesthesia in the 90’s in Japan. I was assured over and over that I would be given some medication to help me relax on arrival. I waited over two hours and a half hours in back past my surgery time. I was given nothing. When I talked to the anesthesiologist he told me that he could not give me anything in advance because there was no one to monitor the patients before surgery. There were seven -eight of us lined up to be taken one at a time and insufficient nursing staff. There was only one doctor and one anesthesiologist on staff taking patients one by one throughout the day. The anesthesiologist and nursing staff really didn’t seem to care at all despite my repeatedly telling them I just wanted something to relax. They just told me that when it was my turn they would make sure I was asleep. I will never return to Gastro MD and certainly not a surgery center with only one doctor and an anesthesiologist. The administrator who mostly remained in his office should be ashamed. Insurance and co-pays amount to good money for surgical centers. Good patient care (let alone exceptional care) should be expected. I should have left when they told me I could have nothing for anxiety and would have to wait almost three hours past my appointment time. Look elsewhere.

My originally appt was supposed to be at 8 AM. My appt was changed to 1 PM without telling me. When I called no one could give me an answer for why it changed. Came in at 12 noon for my appt that was at 1, waited for an hour to be taken back, I was told that I was the first appt for the afternoon. I waited until after 2:35 to be taken into surgery. When I asked one of the nurses if she knew how much longer she told me 10 more minutes at 2:10. Then someone came over and told me another 10 minutes because the staff from the morning needed a break. Completely understandable but when I’ve been fast for over 40 hours it’s been a long last two days for me as well. Very frustrating, if I would have read the reviews previously I would have gone somewhere else. It’s been two days since my procedure and they were supposed to send me a prescription and still haven’t received it. The anesthesiologist was very sweet and comforting, that was probably the best part.

I had a medical outpatient medical procedure on 11/25/25. I paid them their fee at that time. I have called and left messages to their billing department and have not called back. They overcharged me by over $1000 and it's pretty obvious they do NOT want to pay me back. Ugh...BTW, the surgical staff is very nice and caring.

My sister had a medical procedure there and died less than 5 hours later in August 18th. Nurses sent her home even though she couldn't speak, and when her care giver called to report complications from the procedure, they said to put her in bed instead of calling 911 or taking her to the ER where life saving procedure could have been performed. Their lack of care lead to her death.

I had my foot surgery here. The staff was EXCELLENT. Front desk, nurses, recovery...impeccable. A shout out to anesthesiologist, Dr. Omar. He knocked me out JUST ENOUGH. I was awake, lucid, and on my way home way easier than expected. To those whose names I did not mention, I apologize and still thank you so much.
