My doctor appointments have always been the best that I've ever been to. The office staff, nurses and doctors are always so nice, thoughtful and professional. The waiting and patient rooms are clean and welcoming. There is very little wait time to see your nurse and doctors. Appointments are easy to schedule or change if needed. Everything is explained to you and referrals are arranged for you right away by the staff. I would recommend this office staff and doctors đź’Ż persent as everyone is helpful and professional.
Do not come here for surgery if your BMI is over 35. They won’t do it. Pros: I stuck with this office primarily because of Dr Lam while working through conservative treatments. He was very thorough and explained everything well for me. And they were pretty good about getting me in quickly. Kim at the front desk was great and Shannon in the patient advocate department was also great. Cons: Unfortunately, the conservative treatments didn’t work for me as I had a recurring synovial cyst after 8 months, plus spinal instability. So I landed in the hospital for 3 days for pain control, but they wouldn’t see me at the hospital. They did squeeze me in quickly after I was discharged, but I had to go see Dr Lam, then make another appointment for a surgery consult, all the while, I am stuck at home in the fetal position, unable to walk, and on a heavy mix of pain medications and muscle relaxers. So two weeks after discharge from the hospital, I find out that Dr Rothbart won’t do surgery since my BMI is too high, even though I already lost 35 pounds in the last year. But I am somehow supposed to stay stuck in bed on potent drugs and lose 55 more pounds, and then he would do surgery to get me to where I can function again? They did attempt to pop the cyst again, but did not sedate me enough, so I was apparently moving around on the operating table. And then the doctor didn’t even come talk to me about it when I woke up. I was just pushed out the door. That is one other thing I didn’t like, even for epidural steroid shots and nerve block shots, they push you out as soon as you wake up from sedation.
The Spine Team were exactly that! A great team. I had excellent care from check in, Hayley, the nurse, the doctor, the xray technician and then the scheduler. I wasn't left waiting between for much time at all. Dr. Badhey was kind, thoughtful in his explanation of what he saw on xrays, and his thoughts on further care. I hgighly recommend this care team.
Very un professional attitude, doctor is careless, lab and X-Ray charges were charged incorrectly and kept on billing for the balances. Made payment once and billed again with the balance. Never go there again.
Showed up for my back appt. They charged me my $60 specialist copay which I’m ok with. They immediately took me back and did xrays which I did not need as I needed an mri. They then billed my insurance $150 for those X-rays which insurance didn’t cover and then sent me a bill. I had just had X-rays done 2 weeks prior. I did not need them. I did not ask for them. I politely asked Jennifer from the accounting dept to consider waiving the Xray bill because it was not communicated to me that it would be additional charge beyond my copay. Please beware that this office will perform unnecessary procedures without checking on insurance cost and will bill you for them. Communication is poor and attitude is very unhelpful. Update: I did contact Jennifer from accounting to hopefully get this Xray bill removed and she spoke to me rudely and said absolutely not. If you want to help me, please remove the bill for Xrays which I did not need and did not agree to paying for.
