This rating isn't necessarily for Spokane Eye clinic as a whole, but rather the wonderful medical records representative that helped me today! I was following up on a prior authorization for my son, but was somehow transferred to Cynthia. She easily could have transferred me to someone else in a different department. But she stayed on the line with me until she was able to get the information I was looking for as well as get a message to the office of the doctor I'd been waiting to hear back from. Awesome customer service and wonderful human interaction. GREAT JOB CYNTHIA!!
SEC has zero respect for patients. They will keep you waiting two to three hours, and never an explanation or an apology because that's how they run their business. And yet they charge for their services like you get gold-plated care. Not recommended, not under any circumstances.
Dr. Skoog and the entire staff at the Surgery Center were great. I understood everything that was going to take place and had clear instructions for post-op. They were all very kind and helpful. I will be having my second surgery in less than 2 weeks and I feel confident that my next experience will be just as good as my first.
I have never experienced worse customer service than when attempting to schedule an eye care exam with Spokane Eye Clinic. Earlier this year the scheduling system was malfunctioning for over two months and the only means to schedule an appointment was to visit the clinic. Now, when I call the clinic to schedule I am met with a scheduler who is rude and seems angry that I have interrupted their day to schedule an appointment. After spending 10 minutes providing detailed insurance information, the scheduler told me that the South Hill / Downtown clinicians no longer provide eye exams for people who use contact lenses. The optometrists and ophthalmologists here are top notch. I hope they have the business sense to take care of their staff. I'd like to see schedulers supported and compensated in a way that allows them to show up for prospective patients with professionalism, basic courtesy, and efficiency.
Dr. Allar, the eye surgeon, did an excellent job of removing the cataract from my left eye, and inserting a multi focal lens into it. Two weeks after the surgery, my near and distant vision are extremely improved. Also, I am very pleased with the efficiency of the post-operative instructions. The cataract was removed from my right eye one day ago, and a multi focal lens that will correct for astigmatism was inserted. If my right eye heals in the same time frame as my left eye, then I anticipate the same remarkable improvement in vision in my right eye by the end of next week.
