I would never go here again. I was diagnosed by them last spring with an issue that requires a referral to a specialist. I never heard back, I was specifically told that the referral office would contact me not to contact them. But it could take some time. Ok I wait. And wait. Oct last year I checked back. Oh we'll resend the referral. Wait some more . Today I finally found out that the referral office denied the referral. And that they told my Dr, and to get more information from them. I go back to try to figure this out, and why I wasn't contacted when the referral was denied. I was told that once a referral is faxed off they don't ever check back. So not only did they not even do an appropriate referral in the first place, either place or lack of clinical evidence. But ignore any communication back from the referral and blatantly just go through the motions that will just get denied again. Left me in pain and delayed my treatment. And treated me as if my checking back on it was annoying. Additionally withheld information that further delayed treatment by not letting me know it was denied when I asked about it. Even if not intentionally withheld, it's still withheld and has caused me harm. I emailed the office directly, as well as my care team. I have informed them they are no longer welcome as part of my care team, and am looking for a new office. But this shouldn't be hidden and people deserve to know.

Very impressed with the facility as a one-stop-shop and the providers we have seen have been fantastic. I'm not happy with the check-in process as it lacks patient privacy and all information given can be easily heard by anyone in the waiting room or at the check-in window next to you - name, DOB, address, phone number, etc. This much of a verbal check-in process does not sit well with me. Suggestions - first name, appointment time, then confirm details by asking patient for their ID. 🌈⭐ Safety first. Privacy is important. Please make changes to the check-in process to reflect the importance of patients' privacy.

The doctors at Rainier Institute are wonderful, but I’ve had difficulties getting the support staff to follow up on sending in pre authorizations to my insurance company. Phone calls are rarely returned, so I have had to spend my time following up with countless phone calls. Very frustrating.

I highly recommend Dr Steadman and Dr Hausch. My husband had shoulder surgery a few weeks ago and I'm going to be having double knee replacements soon. We've heard nothing but good things about both Dr's and they both came highly recommended. It's very unfortunate that the Office Dictator, I mean Director as she likes to call herself has to be so rude. The comments she made to the receptionist and my husband at the two week post op were totally out of line and were loud enough to be heard in the waiting room. We arrived at 2:50 and our appt was at 3:30. He was asking about paperwork that was left behind from his surgery day. The original receptionist was polite and helpful. "Shelly" made the comment in a rude tone to the receptionist that if "you need help you need to speak up". She then turned her rudeness to my husband which I could over hear in the waiting room (too much to say on a post but will be addressed at the 2 month follow up with Dr). She made comments to the receptionist on the surgery floor (went to get the paperwork) about my husband as she didn't know he was behind her until the surgery receptionist responded. I approached the window and asked if my husband had an appt and her reply was "no, not anymore I cancelled it". Apparently it was scheduled in Bonney Lake. I commented that we would head that way. It was now 3:15 and her response was, "Good luck with that on 410". Upon arriving in Bonney Lake (yes we made it), that receptionist was very helpful and kind. She did mention that they hadn't got a phone call that a patient was on the way because apparently it's happened before and they will call ahead for the patient and state they might be a little late. Bonney Lake said they could see where the confusion was in their own system and apologized for the Puyallup location which she didn't need to do. After talking with a fellow coworker, it appears that the "rudeness and confrontation" wasn't the first time the office director has acted in this way. We both felt bad for the coworkers of the office director and the way she treated the employees. It was a very awkward moment for everyone at the windows and in line, one of the employees that wasn't involved in the exchange rolled her eyes when Ms. Shelly was basically yelling/disciplining both my husband and the receptionist. On a positive note, nurse that removed his stitches in Bonny Lake was kind and helpful also. Getting past the dictator ~ you are in great hands. Everyone has bad days ~ just remember your surroundings.

I arrived 15 minutes early as instructed and was told my appointment would be canceled if I didn’t finish paperwork before the scheduled time. I completed it on time—only to wait 30 minutes to be taken back and another 23 minutes for the doctor. Clearly, they value the doctor’s time more than their patients’. The lack of respect is unacceptable. I would strongly recommend avoiding this clinic and finding care elsewhere.
