Massachusetts Ave Surgery Center

I’ve had the experience of picking up and dropping off a family member at the Massachusetts Avenue Surgery Center multiple times, and I am consistently impressed by the facility. Though I’ve never been a patient there, I’ve observed that the doctors, nurses, and staff members are incredibly kind, caring, and professional. The center itself is clean, modern, and well-maintained, which creates a comforting environment for those undergoing procedures. Additionally, the staff does an excellent job of following up on aftercare, ensuring that patients feel supported throughout their recovery. Highly recommend this surgery center based on the level of care I’ve witnessed.

From checking in at 6:00 am to checking out after my back surgery, the staff here is the most professional, courteous, and friendly you will ever meet. Couldn't ask for a better experience. To top it off, they even sent a Thank you card in the mail wishing me a speedy recovery. A big Thank You to everyone who assisted with my procedure.

Great experience! The anesthesiologist is excellent and every staff member is so kind and helpful. If you have surgery here, you should hope to have Lucky as your pre-op nurse. She was so kind and comforting, plus, she got my IV on the first attempt! Alejandro was also very kind and so helpful in recovery phase 1. I appreciated how respectful he was in asking for my consent before doing anything. He offered to get a female nurse for tasks like getting dressed and getting to the bathroom. I stuck with him, but I was comforted that he offered

The Mass Ave Surgery Center was wonderful. I had outpatient knee surgery there and everything went perfectly. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and professional. The environment is very clean, run well, and catered to the patient's needs. Reliable and trustworthy.

My doctor uses this facility for surgery. It was my first time here and all of the doctors/nurses were great! They sent me an email beforehand to give me all the details. I was a bit worried because the paperwork I filled out had slightly different instructions than the email, so I left a message for the attending nurse and she called me back fairly quickly to clarify, which I greatly appreciated! Their online paperwork portal is very user friendly. The nurse who prepped me was named Lady. She made me feel comfortable.. and she helped ease my anxiety! I hate getting IVs so I was a bit keyed up. But she was very friendly and had great bedside manner. She gave me updates on what to expect, etc. The anesthesiologist (Dr Gamez or Gomez?) came in, introduced himself and answered all my questions, and a 3rd doctor (Ahmed?) came in and said he’d be in the room helping make sure the surgeon had all she needed. I felt like I was in very capable hands. The facility is clean and updated. My surgery went really well and they even called me the next day to check on how I was healing. The only negative I can say is about the billing department. I called and emailed several times before my surgery so I knew what to expect and was never able to get in touch with anyone. Definitely frustrating! But, that was the only con to the process. Overall, I was very pleased with the facility.
