2 providers on record
My husband had surgery here November 2025. We had never had surgery at a surgery center, and didn't know what to expect. We were blown away by our experience. First, it is a SUPER nice facility. It looks brand new, super clean and quiet. Second, the staff are incredible. You hear a lot these days about burnout in healthcare, but whatever they are doing at East Pavilion should be studied in business school! You could tell that the doctors and nurses got along with each other, and it makes you feel like they work together as a great team. Third, the people who took care of my husband were incredible. They walked us through the entire process and kept us updated throughout. Finally, and this is probably one of the biggest surprises - the surgery center was waaaaaay cheaper than the same surgery at the hospital. I hope we never have another surgery, but if we do, we will try to get it done here.
The personnel are lovely, even the front desk. BUT they require payment of what they determine your out-of-pocket maximum will be on the day of the surgery. This pre-payment will be inaccurate by the time all your other bills are accounted for. Most institutions will run things through your insurance and then you will be billed for your portion. This is the first time I have ever been forced to pay large fee prior to a procedure. And their estimate was inaccurate and it will be inaccurate and I will have overpaid by the time everything shakes out. Extremely frustrating and borders on unethical. if I had a choice I would not have gone there. And that's the problem, sometimes you don't have a choice. All you can do is alert other patients to their policies and let them know how it affects the perception of the cure they receive. I am a healthcare provider and I have never worked for any institution that would treat a patient like this, requiring upfront payment for something that should be billed through insurance appropriately FIRST. Update: they charged me more than $700 over what I actually owe them. Now I have to try to get the money back to pay the surgeon. They have no idea when they charge you which way your insurance You're out-of-pocket maximum. But they don't care they just want as much money as they can get upfront and you are in no position to argue.
Here’s to the surgery team who worked with my beautiful wife today 12-18-25. Sydnee, Kelly, Rachel, Kathy, Melissa, Jackie, Kevin & Dr Washtok. Hope I’m not missing anyone. Super professional. Kind. Courteous. So far a very good surgical outcome. Thanks to the entire team here at Providence. You rock.
Entire surgical staff was excellent, intake and prep was smooth and easy, answered all questions clearly, everyone I interacted with was very professional. I went in for an (insurance covered) laparoscopic procedure and was only billed ~$300 at check in, which has been explained to me on the phone previously, no unexpected charges or anything came up afterwards. Woke up a few hours later with my partner next to me and went home with no complications. The surgeon checked in a while later to make sure I wasn’t experiencing anything unusual and overall I think this is a great facility.
A billing nightmare. Our 6-year old child had a surgery at the East Pavilion Surgery Center. The facility informed us that we needed to pay on the day of the surgery. I usually don't trust any provider that forces you to pay up front, before the claim goes through insurance. They overcharged us by over $300. Two months later they sent us a check for the overcharge made payable to our 6-year old child. We had paid with our HSA account. The HSA would not accept a check made out to our child. The surgery center should have 1. paid us back more promptly (insurance had processed the claim in one week) 2. refunded the overcharge back to our HSA card instead of issuing a check made payable to a minor and 3. really should not have forced us to pay in advance before insurance had processed the claim. If you have an upcoming surgery at this facility, I strongly recommend you refuse to pay on the day of the surgery (or at least pay a much smaller amount than what they estimate). Although they claim they will refuse service, I seriously doubt they will tell surgeons that their procedures can not proceed as scheduled due to their greed. Our only complaint with the surgery is this facility's business and billing practices. Otherwise the doctor and all support staff were great, though I don't think they are affiliated with the facility and are employed by Providence.
They specialize in a range of procedures including ophthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, plastic surgery, podiatry, obstetrics & gynecology, and otolaryngology.
They recommend pre-registering and having your insurance information ready. On the day of surgery, please plan to arrive early for check-in and bring someone to drive you home afterward.
