I'm hesitant to recommend this place. The woman on the phone was not very helpful. I've been having back problems, but the insurance plan that I have at work has a $6,000 deductible, which effectively means that just about anything I do I will have to pay for out of pocket until I reach that deductible. What was explained to me was that I had to call during business hours to find out pricing. The problem is that I have to work during business hours and I have to call multiple hospitals to figure out pricing because literally everything will be paid for out of pocket. I can't take so much time off of work trying to call various doctors to figure out pricing. The woman was curt, to say the least, and she transferred me over to the voicemail of another department. After calling a second time a few minutes afterwards, the guy who answered told me that the general visit is $225 up front. That kind of experience gives a pretty negative impression overall of the hospital. And frankly no hospital should come across curtly when someone says, "I need to know what things cost so that I know what I can afford." I'll call around different hospitals. If I end up coming here, I'll decide afterwards if I need to change the review.
My scheduled appointment at this location with Dr. Morris was 2:50pm; when at 3:15pm I still was not called back into the examining room, I had to ask a receptionist at the front desk when I might get called for my 2:50pm appointment, and she checked for my, and informed that she didn't know how much longer it would be for me to be called in for my schedule 2:50pm appointment; all she could tell me was that there were several people in front of me to be called, so she wasn't able to give me a time frame. ATTN: Beacon Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Realize that beside me being a "PATIENT", I am also a " CUSTOMER" therefore, GOOD Customer Service requires you to inform your "PATIENT/CUSTOMER when they are called back into the examining room much longer than their scheduled appointment; VERY DISRESPECTFUL!
Love the staff here especially Julie who gives me my shots in my knees.
I drove all the way from Hebron,Ky. (which is where I work). I drove all the way to Beacon Orthopedics, on Harrison Avenue. I wasted my gas, my time and even took out of work 3 hours early so I can make it to my appointment which was at 3:15. I kept repeatedly receiving a phone call from the same number 15 minutes prior to my appointment. I didn’t answer because I was already at Beacon Orthopedics trying to park. I walked into the building and checked in, as I was filling out the paperwork, I was informed by the receptionist that the doctor who was scheduled to see me doesn’t treat my condition. I explained to the person on the phone over and over what I am going to see the doctor for. All I need is a medical summary, it is a section of a skill performance evaluation application that needs to be filled out by a board certified orthopedic or a board certified pm&r. I have a limb impairment, people with limb impairments or amputees must have a skill performance evaluation certificate in order to drive a commercial truck. I can not believe the Beacon Orthopedic call center employee was calling me 15 minutes prior to my appointment just to tell me that the doctor who I was scheduled with couldn’t see me for the condition I have. I wasted, time, money and gas just not be able to see the doctor. I can understand if I were informed way in advance but 15 minutes prior to my appointment?!?! Very unprofessional!!
Had 2 office visits and one MRI for back pain but Dr Singla told there is nothing concerning only slight swelling. Was advised to take meloxicam if pain reoccurs. Asked for a refill which was denied stating that last visit didn’t happen recently. So basically they want me to spent 2 grand for scheduling office visits & getting those scans every time. This is the classic definition of fraud & abuse in insurance terms. Thanks but No thanks!!!!
