I am a recent transplant from NYC. At best, I was a little nervous about how the medical care would be in Maine. Dr Matthew Grunwald as well as the staff at Portland Gastroenterology have been incredible. The knowledge, interest in learning important information about my health history, arranging necessary testing in a timely manner, followup with prior doctors along with an informative yet calm office visit, has given me confidence in the doctor I look forward to seeing Dr. Grunwald and the Portland Gastroenterology team for G-d willing years to come. Additional info: office has easy parking, very pleasant staff, is both clean and spacious. The waiting time was brief. I highly recommend both Dr. Grunwald and this practice.

Portland Gastroenterology Center , Has been outstanding .I’ve been going there for years due to my health condition! They have been nothing but cordial and supportive but most of all professional. I have been seen by Dr Kilby to Dr Howell & now they are retired Dr Naomi Baffy Meanwhile, the one that has listened to my complaints and Has given my recommendation Is the one that knows me best is Melanie Corners NP she has been nothing but thorough and understanding.I recommend this practice to anyone that has gastrointestinal issues and much more. There front of the house receptionist’s are just as important as the rest of the staff. Especially “Margarita”So thank you for all your support and continued dedication to me and everyone else who you’ve helped make a difference to.🙏 Caroline DiSanto 💕🩺💩👩‍⚕️ P.S The anesthesiologist Was a riot !!!! He made me feel very comfortable. He explained every thing to me thoroughly made me feel more at ease. I wanna say his name was Charles but I could be wrong or Roger but anyhow, he was the best.

I arrived at the appointment a bit early; Dr Goldman came in right away. We reviewed details of a 2022 diagnosis, he reassured me we had several good options to get my issue under control and I wasn’t a high risk for anything terrible. I left the appointment feeling like we had a good plan in place. I have a great deal of trust in Dr Goldman. Excellent physician.

Dr. Mayes has been my gastroenterologist since 2011, performing numerous endoscopies and colonoscopies. During my initial experience, while a patient at MMC, I was in need of the services of a gastroenterologist and she was the gastroenterologist ‘on call’. Little did I know at the time that Dr. Mayes would keep me healthy for 15 years ( and counting). Always professional, efficient, and knowledgeable through each procedure, appointment and messaging on ‘my chart’, I am saddened to admit that I have ‘aged out’ of the routine procedures. Keeping our pathways open, I am welcome to reach out to her in the future if a situation were to arise. Thank you, Dr. Mayes for sharing your professional and medical skills with me as I have experienced medical symptoms over the years.
