Chris Garret PA was who I saw at Midsouth Pain Treatment Center. He was very thorough with his questions and exam and did not try to rush things. His nurse Heather was the same way and I felt very comfortable. Highly recommend them.

Terrible experience. Constantly running your insurance and not helping out with the pain. Judgmental off what you "look like" They believe everyone is a pot head. Was referred to this clinic because of the opioid rules from my pcp but because "Most of our patients are older" I get the third degree every time I need a refill. For them to be professionals they are VERY unprofessional and will go to the extreme for you to be denied meds that helps you. They try to force injections on you that doesn't ease the pain or give you the lowest mg possible. Went out Sunday and a nasty smoke smell was in my hair the next day at my appointment. I was told I ought to be ashamed of coming in to take a drug test smelling like marijuana. I do not smoke I am not a smoker. Drug test proved I am not a smoker, so they made me take another one...meanwhile I hurt EVERYDAY and I am thinking about going out on disability because they wont prescribe me what has been helping me for YEARS before I had to see them. Every appointment I have I feel judged and feel like I am proving that I am not a druggy vs getting the treatment thaT i NEED.

There new AI phone systems sucks. You leave messages for the nurses and don’t get a call back at all. You can get sny one on the new system. The changed the phone number and didnt notify their current patients about that. Their turn over rate is like a Revolving door. They only want you to have a Procedure otherwise you can’t keep coming back and getting the medication you need. And if you don’t have it, they won’t see you. Because they make more money that way . Dr Michael Steuer thinks he’s god and I wouldn’t get any injections from him he will make you fly off the table to the point you want to just hit him and ask what was she thinking by making jump off the table because he’s not in the right spot. Dr Steven Richey takes the time to listen to you and is so nice. He is one of the only reason I go there beside getting medicine.

New receptionist needs an extreme attitude adjustment. Doesn't speak to patients in a friendly way, makes it seem like they don't want to do their job. Will certainly be looking for another pain management center. Only reason I gave 2 stars is because the doctor was very polite and helpful.
