Too, too much fluorescent lighting in the waiting room and too much noise pollution from the television. Waiting room needs to be brought down to serene.
If I could rate NTSC 10 stars I would. Not sure why the bad ratings, however, I do understand that everybody's experience is different. In sharing mine, I found from the moment I pre-registered online, til the day of my surgery on 7/13/22 and even after, I have received nothing short of EXCELLENT & EXEMPLEMARY service! On the day of my service, the receptionist whose name I failed to obtain was very courteous and pleasant. Nothing like walking into a place of business and feeling welcome! I was informed prior to the day of surgery that everything would take about 3-4 hours, so I expected the wait, especially realizing I was not the only one walking through their doors. But the efficiency in which all of the staff and nurses operated within, without forgoing friendliness, courtesy, empathy and kindness was absolutely amazing! This was my first time here and of course I was nervous, but all of the staff was so personable, putting me at ease, yet still maintaining their professionalism. The nurses, I encountered, Courtney, Jenifer, Kelby, Cary, Andrea, Lala, Marisela, were equally attentive. They kept checking to see if I was alright, whether I needed anything, a warm blanket, etc. They kept me informed every step of the way. by letting me know what they were doing and what came next. Their caring kindness, put me at ease while I waited for surgery! My eye is on the mend and healing well. After the cataract surgery, I did not experience any pain. Other than my eye being patched and feeling a little groggy, I didn't even know I was done. I cannot say enough about Dr. Andy Lee! He is an "Amazing" Opthamologist who really cares about the health and eye care of his patients. Last, I thank NTSC for the follow up call a day after surgery to check on me.
Nice medical staff. Great place for outpatients. 11-07-23. Went there for a Colonoscopy Screening...Dr. Monga was great as usual. He found it and he removed the polyp that could've turned cancerous. Thank you so much. All the staff from receptionist, vitals nurse, attending nurses, anesthesiologist and the staff in the surgery room. Great job!!!
BEWARE BEWARE !! You will most probably wait at least 2 hours, because, " The doctor is running about 15 minutes behind". More like 45 minutes !! The nurse was NOT nice, and their hygiene is questionable. The MAIN THING YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF IS THE ANESTHESIOLOGIST AND AN RN , BILL SEPARATELY !! They were NOT in our Network, AND, OF COURSE , NEVER TOLD US !! We got a BILL FROM THE ANESTHESIOLOGIST FOR ALMOST $300.00 !! Another one from an RN for OVER $250.00 !!!! THIS WAS AFTER I ALREADY PAID MY $300.00 CO PAY !! IF YOU'RE HAVING ANY PROCEDURE DONE, ASK EACH PERSON IF THEY ARE IN YOUR INSURANCE NETWORK !! OR BETTER YET, CHOOSE ANOTHER FACILITY !!!
I had a Cholecystectomy (gall bladder removed) March 7th, 2016 by Dr. Jeremy Carrasco at the North Texas Surgery Center (owned by Dr. Carrasco). I was in severe pain following the surgery and contacted the surgeon several times about the issue. The office staff was very rude, and did not pass the messages about my difficulty to Dr Carrasco. I continued in pain for months and lost my job because of the disability. Something went wrong in the surgery, evidently as my pain management specialist says, when they introduced the Co2 gas into my abdomen to gain access to the organs, they over-did it. Nerves that were supposed to be free-floating in the abdomen were thrust into the muscle layers in my abdomen causing a condition diagnosed by pain management as "Abdominal Cutaneous Nerve Entrapment Syndrome" (or "ACNES"). -- I had to resign my position at my employment and I became totally unemployed. I had to sell most every thing of value I owned and was left poor and destitute. -- It took a long time for a diagnosis and I did not receive approval of my disability until September of 2018. Texas has a 2 year statute of limitations on malpractice law suits, so I could get no compensation from the blundering surgeon that screwed me up permanently. -- This surgery took place at the North Texas Surgery Center. -- I was a self-pay patient with no health insurance. I just figured that the surgeon was not going to make as much money on me as the next INSURED person who he could charge (their insurance company) anything he wished money-wise for the same procedure. So in an effort to rush me through the puppy mill of surgeries to get to the next person, they screwed up big time, and I am now permanently and totally disabled for life. -- I would not recommend this surgery center, or Dr. Jeremy Carrasco for any reason. You may end up like me... Supposedly there is monitoring equipment in the operating room that is supposed to monitor the level of Co2 introduced into the abdomen to gain access to the internal organs. Evidently they either let a resident-level person who was not experienced monitor this machine, or Dr. Carrasco simply bumbled the procedure completely. I think I am lucky to be alive after this terrible surgeon screwed me up for life. -- And their office person, Rhianna is one of the rudest snobs I have ever tried to deal with in a professional manner. Perhaps if she had done her job and passed my messages and complaints of continual pain on to Dr Carrasco, maybe there was some information he could have given me that may have helped. -- It seems the entire experience I could compare to having "gone to Mexico for a (cheap) surgery"... Please stay away from this surgery center and Dr Carrasco, and his office AT ALL COSTS !!!!!
