I have recently looked into and visited several opthamologists near me in the northern New Jersey and New York area. I have watched some of their YouTube videos and visited some of their offices. Although they all seemed very competent and exceptional at what they do I can say Dr. Wong is in a league of his own. I was hesitant, at first, to take the long trip from Northern New Jersey to Austin but it was well forth it. I'm glad I did. Since I was visiting from out of town I appreciate that they were very considerate of my time and mindful of my itinerary. Right from my initial phone call to them, to when I arrived at the office for the actual visit, there simply wasn't any comparison. The level of courtesy, professionalism and organization is unparalleled. Every step was a great experience. I can say that my initial visit there was the first time I ever took pictures of a doctor's office to share how gorgeous it is. It's much more impressive in person. All his videos on YouTube are an amazing resource. Especially those of his objective, unbiased reviews of the latest lenses and his patient interviews. These have been priceless in helping me determine the lens that would best suit my needs. His transparency and the empirical data he shares have been an immense help to me. The videos he shares on his Youtube channel are something that anyone considering cataract surgery should definately watch since it is a life long investment in your vision. Everything about his practice is absolutely first class. From the staff that answer the phone, the front desk staff, the medical assistants preforming the preliminary test and exams, the building and facilities but especially the doctor himself. All are at the top of their game. There's a saying along the line of someone being able to tell how good an establishment is based on the cleanliness of it's restrooms. Their men's room is immaculate.

Dr. Odette and his staff are awesome, extremely professional, very friendly and of course, very knowledgeable.. He always takes really good care of my eyesight. I always leave there feeling like he genuinely cares about my eyesight and gives me the best. Attention and treatment, if needed Highly recomend Austin, I especially Dr. Odette.

Dr. Ficke was very thoughtful and pleasant. . She answered each question thoroughly. Took the time during my exam. Her staff was did a great job. I would highly recommend Dr. Ficke to family and friends.

Front desk greeted me very warmly and had such a welcoming smile! Hayden was extremely thorough a helped relieve me of any tension i felt by explaining each device he tested my eyes with. Dr. Elkins was soo patient, honest, and attentive. My overall exam was of course painless and I left feeling very confident that my eyes were in the absolute best of care!

Dr. Wong is extremly professional and helpful. He explains procedures and options as they relate to the wants and needs of the patient. I feel very confident in his diagnosis and suggestions. As to office procedures, his rules state that if the patient is more than 10 minutes late, they must reschedule the appoontment; however, I had to wait 30 minutes after an on-time arrival to be seen. Flexibility should be the norm for both patient and doctor.
