Well, the first cataract surgery is completed. It took an hour to get prepped for the surgery, and eight minutes to complete it. In fact, during the middle of the surgery, they had to reboot the machine that was assisting the surgeon. From minute one, my vision was greatly improved. I am now rediscovering my world. There are some folks I really have not seen in 10 years. Now I can see every wrinkle on their face. I realize my hair has changed color, also. With the lenses I had put in, I see mostly stuff far away. Far away is usually 3 feet from me into the distance. Everything is so clear. I feel like I stepped backwards 40 years with my eyes. The whole process is pretty much painless, quick. My eyes it taken some considerable damage over the years. I had Lasik surgery in 2005, PRK in my left eye in 2012. I had a severe dry eye condition which meant the surface of the eyeballs were eroded and scarred up. This makes it extremely difficult to get the proper lens. Dr. Boulter's experience, honesty, and the way he presented the options convinced me which lens I should use. Remember, it is still your choice of lenses. After that, it is all about dollars. The doctor staff, made me feel comfortable and explained the prepped procedures adequately. The anesthesiologist was top-notch in his explanation of what would happen on the table. All of the staff were very professional, competent and friendly. I get a week off, and I go back into surgery for my left eye. I may have to just get readers. Costco’s going to go broke not supplying me with glasses.

office management needs improvement - scheduler does not reply, staff not well trained, temporary anesthetist picked very unprofessional. Patients can choose anesthetist during surgery, talk with your surgeon and scheduler about who they have for your surgery.

They didn't explain the lenses options well for cataract surgery nor did they explain that the doctor charges an extra $1500 to put in the toric lenses above the regular charge. The waiting room is very uncomfortable for your driver to wait for 2 hours. Don't even have water available.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Wasn’t told second medically necessary surgery would never be scheduled due to operation room shortages and staffing shortages. They are only in it for the money and don’t care a bit about patient care or outcomes. Stay away.
