Wayne Surgical Center

I had a great experience at the Wayne Surgical Center. From the front desk being thorough with my insurance items to the KINDEST nurses. Nurse Angela and Nurse Joann were very warm, compassionate and friendly. There is a strong team effort between the nurses, everyone is helping, all hands on deck. What a supportive system. You can tell that they love what they do and hopefully I don't have to come back, but if i did i would definitely use this facility. Also extremely clean :)

I was overall happy with the care the center provided for my 6yo child’s procedure. The location was easy to reach and there was plenty of parking. The receptionist (Barbara) was courteous and professional, as was also the nurse (Kimberly). The center was clean and orderly, from what I could see in the pre/post surgery areas. The pediatric anesthesiologist answered my questions, administered the meds and allowed me to go with my child all the way to the OR just before they started surgery. The procedure started a little after an hour from when we arrived. The staff promptly informed us when my child was back from surgery and we stayed with him in the recovery area for a couple of hours until he was well enough to go home. The nurses were kind to my child and provided beverages, coloring things and stickers. The nurse also explained the discharge instructions before we left. I also received a follow up call about 3-4 days after surgery just to see how things were. Everything seemed to go smoothly. Hope this helps!

The surgical center has been a fine facility in my past experience. But be warned, after explicitly stating I could not start prep for procedures until fully paid, which I did, a year later, without any bill or explanation of additional charges, legal action have just been taken against me for supposedly owing them more. First, a collection agency contacted me, and following their instructions, I requested information of what else I could owe. The response was a copy of my medication and allergy list, ie. no itemized billing information. They then proceeded to sue me for $800, still without any bill or explanation.

extremely disappointed with the way my husband and I were treated at Wayne Surgical Center, specifically by an employee named Angel. My husband is already under a lot of stress preparing for a medical procedure. There was a simple misunderstanding regarding the copay amount after he had spoken to a different staff member earlier. Instead of calmly clarifying the situation, Angel immediately gave my husband an attitude and spoke to him in a very disrespectful and impatient manner, as if my husband did something wrong for being confused. There is absolutely no excuse for being rude to patients or their families—especially when they’re anxious and vulnerable. A little compassion and professionalism goes a long way in a medical setting, and unfortunately, that was completely lacking in this interaction. This experience added unnecessary stress to an already difficult day. I truly hope management addresses this, because no patient or family member should be treated this way.

Another positive visit yesterday . The staff treated me with respect and were patient in answering my questions. Their facility is better than a hospital because you get personal care close to home ! Thank you for everything you did to keep me safe and comfortable !
