Thanks Dr Ward and staff at Valley Eye Institute. We have been treated with professional and respectful attention at every visit. The information is personal and kindly and up to date. We have confidence in his service and feel extremely grateful for the future health of our community with Dr Ward as one of our physicians.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rademacher for several years and have always been happy with him and his staff until now. In February, Dr. Rademacher recommended a trabeculoplasty to lower my eye pressure. He did this procedure once before 3 years ago and it helped. I was adamant that I could only agree to the procedure if it didn't cost me a lot after my insurance. I was advised to contact their surgery center in Sidney prior to the procedure to discuss my out of pocket expense. I did so. I have carried the same 2 insurance coverages throughout my relationship with this office and the first procedure was covered 100%. The person I spoke to on the phone said that, "if your insurance hasn't changed, there is no reason for you to be charged different than the first time." I was told this again, face to face when I checked in for my procedure. In April, I began receiving bills. I called the billing office to ask about it. After a brief conversation, I was told a member of their management team would be in touch with me. A month later I called again and was told the same thing. Two weeks ago I called and was transferred to a supervisor's phone and got a voice mail. I left a message. I wrote a letter. Nine weeks after my initial phone call and still no one has tried to contact me. The local office gave me a different phone number to call. That person, ( who tried very hard to help ), said it wasn't her department and she didn't have access to the billing departments notes, but it looked like I was being billed " out of network ". I have always been in network and have not changed my insurance. As of today, I have still not been contacted by management to explain why my expected bill went from zero to over $1,800.

First appt. here. Only reason for four stars, was the wait time was quite lengthy for no longer than actual appt. lasted. Plus, felt like I was rushed through the appt. If you make patients wait, then give us time to explain health issues (since you asked about them), give time to really make sure our concerns & questions are answered. I felt there was a rush to be in & out by the Dr. as well. Although, Dr. Bornhorst was nice, professional, relieved my fears about my eyesight in the one eye. The lady (Patti?) at the desk as you walked in, really seemed quite efficient and "on top of things". I WOULD come back to this Valley Eye Institute for future appts.

Valley Eye Institute is comprised of an outstanding group of individuals who genuinely have the patient’s eye health as their top priority. Dr. Jeffrey Ward not only prevented me from serious vision loss due to dry eyes, but he immediately prescribed eye drops to help repair damaged corneas. Thanks to ALL the Valley Eye team!

Dr. Rademacher and his team promptly got me in to be checked after a piece of broken glass flew into my eye. Dr. Rademacher and his staff are very professional while being courteous and kind. Would happily recommend Dr. Rademacher and his team to anyone looking for eye care.
