Unasource Surgery Center

Very satisfied and a wonderful experience! I went in last week for a shoulder surgery. The staff took me right back to my room as soon as I got there and helped me get comfortable. Everything was very quick and easy. The team listened to my needs and they made the nerve block very easy and painless. I have to be honest, I do not remember much after that but I was in good hands, my chaperone was very happy with the experience, and the center called me the next day to make sure I was doing okay. Out of all the surgeries I have unfortunately undergone, this has been the smoothest, easiest, and one of the best teams to have cared for me. Thank You.

I want to reach out to Dr. Perry Greene and the entire staff at UnaSource Surgery Center. I have never experienced a nicer group of people to take care of me. They so impressed me with their professionalism, cheerfulness, they were very comforting and they were fun. And this was all the day before Thanksgiving! I especially want to reach out to Dr. Greene whom I admire not only as my surgeon but as a man. He is a wonderful person. This was my fourth surgery performed by him (today was total right hip replacement). He also did the total left hip in 2015 and both knees together in 2018. Our toddler recently had his surgery here. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with so much care. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful. They all really helped take the edge off and calmed our nerves. The nursing staff was so friendly and our toddler felt safe. The small touches like bringing our son a balloon with a race car on it (because they asked us what he likes) and putting a bandage on his stuffy to match his bandage really made the whole experience that much more special. Our son was so proud of himself and what could have been a super scary experience is one that we all look back on with positive memories.

Had neck and shoulder surgeries at UnaSource and was very pleased with both experiences. Loved the clean and efficiently run facilities and private recovery rooms. Definitely preferred over a hospital setting. Staff was pleasant and professional. Highly recommended.

I have been living with a few eroding disks in my lumbar region for a while. The past two years I have advanced from weekly chiropractic care to cortisone injections into my spinal cord. Even with an injection every three months the pinched nerves were extremely painful and limited my mobility. I was referred to Dr. Jacobson by my back doctor Jason Malawa. He suggested an ablation surgery to my L4, L5 and S1 vertebrae, to destroy the nerve ends that have been getting pinched and making the muscles seize up in the lumbar. Dr. Jacobson did a great job explaining the procedure and helped to get the surgery approved by BCBS. When the day of surgery came I was told to report to the Unasouce building in Troy. The location is easy to find and top notch. The nurses were outstanding and I was assigned a private room for the pre surgical prep and post operation recovery. It was clean, private and had a comfortable chair for my wife to use while waiting for me to recover. I am very happy with the care from the nurses and Dr. Jacobson. It’s still early in the recovery phase, but I am feeling hopeful for the first time in a long time. It seems the lower lumbar is already looser and less inflamed.
