WORST EYE DR EVERRRR!!!!! I had stye removal surgery a week ago, started bleeding PROFUSELY everywhere, after 5 days of surgery. Instead of going to the ER they recommended I go and sit in their office for two hours while actively bleeding & wait for my Dr to come back from lunch. He did not even inspect my eye or flip my eyelid to inspect the incision because he was scared it was going to bleed. Instead, he just put a pressure patch on and eight hours later it started to profusely bleed again, where I had to go to the ER once again. He told me to go to the primary care doctor for bloodwork In case I Had a bleeding problem. Now I have an eye problem and supposedly a bleeding problem, According to Doctor Pittard. I did everything he asked and did not mess with my eye or cause any harm to it. I called the doctor before going to the ER for the second time like he said to and Dr. Berry’s line went straight to voicemail and I left a message And nobody ever got back to me. I am very upset with the way they handled the problem they caused. But I canceled my appointment and I will never go back. Because now I know how to stop the bleeding The ER taught me everything I needed to know. And MY Ophthalmologist did nothing. ER ophthalmologist at BAMC AND INSPECTED THE INCISION AND SAID THAT HE DID NOT FULLY THIS STYE. BAMC Ophthalmologist gave me a full Work up, Full evaluation and full recovery plan. Unlike this office. Dr Pittard said he had never seen anything like this in his 23 years of being an office. And looked frightened to even come close to my eye.

Staff is pleasant, friendly, and professional. Waiting area is cozy, comfortable and clean. Dr. Berry and his medical assistants are thorough and considerate. Noel answered all my questions, and was kind enough to write out a breakdown of charges for me. I'm thankful for this facility and staff. God bless you all.

The only issue i can think of or that stands out, is that it took a bit of time before I saw the doctor. That being said, it was very busy! Oh and my referral had not been received (not Alamo's fault). I only say that to point out how the receptionist patiently spoke to at least 4 people before she got the referral. I appreciated that she stuck with it, so I didn't have to reschedule. All of the staff that I dealt with were very polite. Dr. Berry was very thorough and quashed my anxieties! Additionally, the woman who helped me buy reading glasses, was very kind and helpful. She was worried that I hadn't been helped but she needn't have been as buying the readers was a spur of the moment decision. Her concern was touching especially in this day and age!

Needed emergency eye care as my eye was giving me trouble for past 10 days. I called and they got me in and saw me real quick. The staff and Dr were fantastic. Really appreciated their support.

Dr Mark Berry was referred to me by my insurance Humana. Little did I know, I was, I’m SURE, getting the best Ophthalmologist in the San Antonio and Live Oak area. His practice from the front office, to the Tech’s to Dr Mark Berry himself represent extreme professionalism. Dr Berry made me feel comfortable and at ease and made sure my eyes were tested in great detail. He is just awesome. If you need an Ophthalmologist, I strongly suggest you make an appointment with this practice. You will not be disappointed!
