Surgery Center Of Michigan

The Surgical Care Center clinically, was great. The billing process was horrific! I paid my copay up front for cataract surgery. After surgery, I got billed for additional services that I was never told about. I waited, thinking that Priority Health had not paid in full yet. Then I received a recorded call from Americollect. I ignored it because it was a recorded call. I made several calls to the Surgical Care Center billing. I waited on hold for 30 minutes and then was hung up on. Finally, I went to their office directly. A wonderful woman helped me and eventually it was written off. I appreciate her. However, I am still getting calls from Americollect. I still have to have the second cataract removed. Although I would like to have the same surgeon, I don't want to deal with the billing department of the Surgical Care Center.

Previous negative review appears to be removed. Predatory billing. Even after insurance and copays they still billed for whatever used during procedure. The building is dated and they herd people through like cattle. Atmosphere of hurry up confusion. We do not recommend this place.

Very rude reception. Discussed our bill confusion for entire waiting room to hear. Snotty, condensending. Almost walked out of my surgery appointment. Do better. Shes terrible

My husband had surgery last year, he was sent a invoice showing his balance due. It was paid in full, then we get another invoice saying he still had a balance. I called asked the person why this total amount due was different than what was sent to him, she had no explanation, they need to make sure they are sending out the correct information and not misleading people. Bad customer service

I paid a $975 up front for my cataract surgeries I have Priority Medicare than I received another bill after getting insurance paper saying I don't owe nothing I would recommending you go somewhere else.
