I started working with April Nodine NP in November of 2025. I could not be more pleased. She has a very professional approach and is a great listener. She has provided targeted medication and injections that have done a great deal to improve my quality of life. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need.
I really enjoy going to the Center for Pain Management. I have being going there for about 10 years. My original doctor retired a year ago and I was really upset about it because he and I got along great and he was funny and I truly enjoyed my visits with him. Well, a funny thing happened and I got put with the most kindest and caring Nurse Practioneer named Keiona Waller. I truly think this was a God thing. She really cares about my health and listens and follows through with what we talk about and remembers things. I honestly think it was the best thing that could happened to me. Also, I think they have a great staff - the ones that continue to show longevity there. There seems to be some turnover but I truly love these certain 3 ladies that check me in and out. I only wish I could remember their names so they could get the recognition the deserve. When I first was recommended to go to a Pain Center from my RA doctor, I was referred to another one. I did some research on it and it was nothing but what I refer to as a "pill mill" and I knew I did not want to go to anything like that. I go here every month in order to get my prescription , as I have a Chronic Illness and Pain Condition but I have also gotten injections in my knees, hips, etc. I have seen other doctors when mine was not available and every single one of them treated me as if I were their own patient and took their time with me. I have to mention this because I will never forget it. One of the doctors got down on the floor and showed me some stretches to do for my RA. Never in my life have I had a doctor do something like that lol He was awesome! I go to the location on North Meridian in Indianapolis and highly recommend it.
My experience with this practice began well but declined significantly after becoming an established patient. During my initial visit, Dr. Gordon seemed attentive and genuinely interested in helping. Unfortunately, that sense of care quickly disappeared, and I began to feel like little more than a number in a profit-driven system. Communication with the office has been consistently poor. After a medication change related to new insurance, I experienced an adverse reaction and contacted the office for guidance. Despite leaving messages, I never received a call back. At my next appointment, the nurse practitioner informed me that I should not have been prescribed that medication in the first place and switched me to something more appropriate. A few weeks later, I requested a modest dosage increase for the same medication — not a change in medication, simply an adjustment to dosage. Dr. Gordon had already made this same dosage change once before without requiring an appointment. This time, however, I was told I would need to schedule a visit and be charged again for what was essentially the same request. When I questioned the inconsistency and expressed frustration that this seemed designed to generate unnecessary visits and revenue, I was promptly discharged as a patient for being “rude to staff.” There was no rudeness, just questioning their billing and scheduling practices since everyone was giving me a different answer. It is disappointing that a practice which initially showed promise ultimately prioritized profits and policies over consistent care and patient communication. Patient beware.
I'm very comfortable coming to the center for pain management but I'm just shocked that j bush is still allowed to treat patient at your upscale facility with her very unprofessional no bed side manner argumentative disrespectful rude and condescending attitude. She is not worthy to set foot in the center for pain management to use the bathroom let alone treating patients à
Dr. Bush is great. She’s making sure to make me feel pain free. She communicates with me about my problems and gives me tips on how to manage my chronic pain. I’m very thankful.
