THEY AREN’T SAINT THOMAS! They get away with it by abbreviating Saint to St. - they do this on purpose cause they rent out the space in Saint Thomas West’s building! AVOID this horrible surgery center!!! Website looks like it’s from the early 90s! The link to the site is misleading as its actual Saint Thomas website! It’s nearly impossible to get your medical record from these people too. Half don’t speak English or Spanish and the other half aren’t people - they’re bots. Billing is also a mess. Surgery center is outdated too and looks like something from a low budget soap opera. They didn’t give me adequate pain meds prior to waking and I was in a massive amount of pain and all they cared about was wheeling me out for the next patient. I said how bad in pain I was and they said we can’t give you anymore acting as if I was faking it. All staff except for the doctor were fantastic btw. The actual hospital itself is what is horrible. Pre op nurses are nice but instructions need updated. They try to make you get completely naked except your underwear for surgery being done on your nose! That’s insane. I asked anesthesiologist and I kept pants on and sports bra. Completely topless and bottomless for a septoplasty is wild. Just avoid, avoid, avoid. Also why is ascension Saint Thomas community manager replying if they allegedly aren’t the same company and it’s why I can’t GET MY MEDICAL RECORDS?!!

My daughter recently had knee surgery here. Check in was smooth and staff were very polite. Nurses were professional and kind. Dr. Anderson with TOA is the absolute best, hands down. The nurses answered all of my questions without hesitation. The anesthesiologist walked my daughter through every step he was taking (she is 17) and answered all of her questions as well. The post op crew were so kind and made sure my daughter was going to be taken care of, even after hours. Couldn’t ask for a better team.

I want to be clear when I say this: the clinical staff is top notch. I had no complaints with the surgery experience we had here. The BILLING DEPARTMENT, however…different story. I have been chasing a refund on an account here for 60 days. Called 4 times before I got to actually talk to a human and not a voicemail. Was told it was being mailed the next week…13 days later I still didn’t have it so I called back. Was left on hold the first time for 25 minutes without anyone answering (I asked for the specific person I spoke with before)..:had to call back and finally got her on the phone. Same story. They can’t help me because it comes from Texas. It’s been printed. All things that were said to be 10/3. So I filed a complaint on a form linked to surgicares website…got a call back from physician billing immediately. Advised her where it was for a she had no clue where to send it…so she made a best guess. Got a call this morning from an overseas call center and went around in circles for 10 minutes to find out that he can’t access anything to do with the facility. And I’d have to call them. You all were super fast to make sure I paid you $1000 before you’d solidify a surgery appointment…but you sure don’t want to give me my $400 back. I will be sharing this with the surgeon as well so she understands the financial strain your facility is putting on her patients.

I had an epidural performed by Dr Scott Miller June 9, 2025. Check in was quick and easy. I was greeted by friendly, compassionate staff and saw Dr Miller right away. The procedure went very quickly with very little discomfort. This was my first experience with St Thomas Surgicare, and I was so pleasantly impressed.

The day of surgery we paid what we were told was the balance in full as self pay clients. We were happy with the results of the surgery itself which is the only reason they have two stars. But the billing department not only set up a auto draft we did not know about they also sent us another separate bill from the anesthesia which we were not informed about the day of surgery and when we called to ask why they never returned our call. When I called today the second time because they never returned my first call to get clarification on why they have taken an additional almost $2000 out of our account we were treated horribly by both women I talked to and they were very very rude. I will NEVER go back to them much less that hospital and I suggest if you are looking to have any procedures done you find another place to do it because of the hastle from their billing department if you are self pay.
