Will surprise bill you $500 months after service, then maliciously send your account to collections while you are officially disputing the bill with the No Surprises Act. They will also drag their feet on providing the paperwork required to complete the dispute, then say that the time has elapsed for the payment. Their so called "Customer service" is awful as they were informed about this several times then feign ignorance. Update: They moved my bill back to my Rush account, but ALSO LEFT IT OPEN WITH THE COLLECTIONS so now I am being billed a total of close to $1000 and continue to be harrassed by the collection company. This is unacceptable. When I call them, there is no action, taking public action to leave a review is the only way they act.

At check-in, I was told they contacted my insurance and that I owe $353. I told them I usually have a PPO discount does that include the discount ? they said yes so I paid the 353 I got my explanation of benefits and I actually only owe 113. I do not like their strong arm tactics and lies about what I owe. go to someplace with Some integrity.UPDATE 8/4/25 still can’t get a refund they “claim” Their computer is doing a system update every time I call…update: I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau, which I recommend everyone doing. I was putting in contact with the office manager, Michelle, who assured me on two occasions that I was being refunded spoiler alert no refund ever came. I ended up disputing the claim with my credit card company, which was successful. I suggest anyone that doesn’t get a refund from this Surgi center dispute. The charge with their credit card company

Great doctors. Terrible administration. I have an overpayment for a surgery (after insurance was processed) and for 3 months the hospital has been refusing to refund my money. I have called several times, had my insurance call, still no money. Do not give them a dime until insurance processes your claims. Perhaps people already know that, but know that they will ask and tell you it's due day of the surgery.

Not completely unique to the SurgiCenter, but they call and text you before surgery to give you an estimate that they expect you to pay before surgery. An ESTIMATE that’s almost never accurate. So instead of paying them almost $1,000, I signed an agreement to pay a down-payment of $300 and a monthly payment plan. Lo and behold, my insurance covered the entire fee (the surgeon and anesthesiologist not included). Yet when I called, I was told that I was on a list for a check to be cut sometime during the first week of October. Apparently I have to wait at least 2.5 months for them to pay me back?! They wanted money they may or may not be owed before service was even rendered…they billed my insurance one week after surgery…but I have to wait months for a refund?! There’s no way they would put up with anything like that from a patient, so why should patients have to put up with that from them? UPDATE 12/15/24: It has been almost 6 months since my surgery and I have never received a check or just had my credit card refunded. And they charged me $309.76, not $300. This is absolutely ridiculous! If a patient didn't make a payment for 6 months, we'd be sent to collections and our credit would go to hell. It's sad, the effort put in to make sure the facility gets paid, but when they owe money to a patient, people are nowhere to be found. And the comment they left, instructing me to call a number or email a certain address? When I called, I was told that I was on a list to have a check cut in October - didn't happen. When I emailed the address they gave me, the responding person said that the SurgiCenter was a private practice and the email address they gave in their response wasn't actually who I should be contacting.

They force you to pay your entire bill up front at the time of surgery. Then other bills get paid first, and you no longer owe them money or only owe a portion. Then you try getting your money back, and you get the run around. This has happened twice. This time the check from insurance got sent to the hospital address and they have no idea where the check is. They are holding my over payment of over $1200 until they fix their error. Then trying talking to a supervisor. They put you on hold and then say that someone will call you back and no one will and they wonder why you are angry.
