I can’t say enough positive remarks about this place. Every person that worked there was so amazing towards my family and really helped ease our worries and fears as parents but especially kept my three year old calm and as comfortable as possible through his surgery. The doctors and nurses are all wonderful people and have the best energy- from the woman who checked us in all the way to the discharge nurse. We never felt rushed and every little step and piece of paperwork was reviewed with us. I also want to give a special review to the anesthesiologist, he was reassuring and absolutely a pleasure to talk to. We loved that we got to meet him because for us, that was our biggest worry about the surgery, our young son going completely under. I think he could tell the worry in my eyes and he made me feel comfortable. He was the sweetest man, and you don’t always come across that in medical field with men! Special shout out to Dr. Gitman, whose calm personality and voice kept my son at ease as well, as he doesn’t do well with loud noises. 10/10 for this place (hopefully won’t be back HAHA) but if so we would be in great hands!

My 2 year old went in today for ear tubes. Everyone was so friendly and comforting. Marissa, Marcy, and the post op nurse (I forgot her name) were amazing with our daughter every step of the way! They allowed my daughter to bring a comfort item from home which she kept the whole time and they even give kids a plush dog to keep! Dr. Karas answered all our questions and the whole team gave us what to expect post anesthesia which was so helpful! They encourage earring removal but are able to avoid it if needed and can tape them.

My family and I had a great experience at North Haven Surgery Center for our 2 year old’s adenoidectomy! The doctors and the pre and post op nurses were absolutely amazing and eased our nerves throughout the experience. They really make our kids feel comfortable prior to surgery with their warm and gentle demeanour, stickers, a stuffed animal, and prizes. What also helped was that we were able to schedule a tour of the center a week prior to walk us through the process come surgery day and know what to expect. The nurses are wonderful with the kids! We are very thankful!
