My wife had 3 different surgeries at this facility and all were top notch with no issues. Surgical staff was wonderful especially diagnosing and explaining minor discomfort during recovery. Dr, nurse, and two anesthesiologists all came in several times to see how she was doing and address any concerns. While I understand the concern about cold air at the entrance doors, that was the least of our worries. Highly recommend, especially if you don’t want to spend a night in the hospital
Dr Fitzpatrick was the ortho surgeon that fused the bones of my right index finger . She is a great surgeon . Great bed manners. Pre op nurse Rick was extraordinary. He made me feel at ease explaining every procedure he was about to perform . I wish I could say the same for the experience post op. I woke up post op already dressed !!! . Opened my eyes and was told my ride was outside . I had a nerve block and had absolutely no feeling in my right arm and could barely walk , I was wheeled to my friend’s car . I got home and could not walk . My friend had to get my neighbors to help get me up the steps and help me to bed. Thankfully they checked on me every 2 hours since I live alone . I was very unsteady and the nerve block did not wear off until the following day . Post op procedure was terrible . No dc education , dressed while I was still under and dc while still unsteady .
I had the best experience with the team at Seaside Surgery Center. Upon arrival I was greeted by Katie and Theresa and they were very helpful and I felt comfortable. I then met the pre-op team. Nichole was wonderful and I knew I was in good hands. The whole team Nichole, Eileen and Danielle were so kind and professional. I was at ease and knew I was in good hands. Dr. Shulze was my surgeon and he did a fantastic job. I have had surgeries in the past and the care team pale in comparison to Lewes Surgery Centers care team. I can recommend their services to anyone as a previous patient I had a phenomenal experience and met some of the kindest and a skillful team that genuinely care about you and they deliver an excellent service. Thank you Lewes Surgery Center for taking good care of me!!
My excellent shoulder surgeon, Gita Pillai, MD, repaired my rotator cuff at Lewes Surgery Center. My pre-op nurse, Stephanie, was very professional with a relaxing sense of humor. She was great. My post-op nurse, Alyssa, was equally great. Over my 80+ years I have had numerous surgeries. I am pleased to report having an outstanding surgeon with terrific nursing support.
I have used the surgery center twice. Once years ago and very recently. Both times I received outstanding care. The staff is thoughtful, and kind. All of my questions were answered. I felt like they really cared for my well being. Did a follow up the next day. A+ to the Lewes Surgery Center.
