not only did they have the incorrect procedure down, they were completely missing the other procedure. The anesthesidologist didn't even take the time to read the pre surgical paperwork they force you to fill out about history with anesthesia. SCARY! when I told him he acted surprised that he didn't even know about my child. They give every child sleep medicine before going under. When we questioned it to seek understanding, the nurse got defensive and brought back the anesthesiologist who explained it's for separation anxiety and not even about the actual going under part. We heard him give the same speech to every parent in there and they all agree without even hearing it was an anxiety medication drug. We've done beaumont and henry ford and not once has a pediatric anesthesiologist given extra drugs like that. The billing department called multiple times to collect prepayment, yet no one from the staff called to confirm the surgery, or the anesthesia questions and paperwork. I don't find anything thorough about the place except for the actual surgeons. They also failed to write down the actual medication he was given post surgery. Nothing about here is transparent.

I brought my son here a few years ago to have his tonsils/adenoids removed, then I was there yesterday to use my tonsils removed. I haven’t met a rude, disrespectful or insensitive person that works there!! - The front desk woman (I wish I could remember her name) was friendly, organized and prompt. You can tell she is efficient ;) She explained everything very clearly. - My nurse (Mara?) was so sweet and I felt very comfortable with her. She - Dr. Yan? My anesthesiologist was very respectful and had good bedside manner. - The woman with grayish hair in a pony tail who came in to talk to me about what I could expect after surgery, you could tell she repeats the same speech all day, but she was still funny and sarcastic and it lightened the mood. - Recovery was a little blurry but my nurse was very gentle and kind. Even the woman who wheeled my out to the car was so nice! I can’t say anything bad about this place!! I hope they all get to read this and remember why they do what they do everyday and they matter to their patients! Thank you 🙏💜🫡

My daughter had her surgery there this morning and every step of the way the staff was very professional and great at making her feel comfortable. Everyone there was very knowledgeable and made sure to tell me everything I needed to know. Although it was about an hr drive for us each way I would say it was well worth it! She's currently doing great and loves the little stuffies they gave her!

My experience with Great Lakes Surgical Center far exceeded my expectations. All the staff were attentive, caring and so easy to talk to. My 1yr old and I had to be at the facility at 5:40am and there was not one negative even that early. Thank you for the kind staff who treated my baby with such great care, they even have him a cute squish mellow to make him feel better. Thank you thank you!!!

Wonderful Kind & Caring Nurses an Doctors whole staff they're informative upfront with the procedures and course of actions very clean and well-maintained i'm very impressed with the hole process as I was here a fee months ago for my daughter in September, for her tonsils and now I'm here for Ethan's tonsils. I'm very pleased. I would recommend highly recommend.
