No one gets excited about colonoscopy’s, in fact, most of us probably get a little nervous. Spiked heart rates, fear of finding something that leads to colon cancer and even being “put under” on anesthesia. I was referred to this practice by a relative and am so glad I did. I traveled from Florida to NC because I wanted this visit to be personal and not like the cattle call consultation I felt in Florida. From the moment I made the appointment with Gastrointestinal Healthcare, I felt like a patient where my well being was their first priority. Their prep instructions were clear and the woman who called to go over t with me never made the call feel rushed. Their instructions day of my appointment I was welcomed by the receptionist and made to feel comfortable. Within 10 minutes Shelley “salt of the Earth” smiled wide, was gentle in approach, making conversation around me and not all about the appointment. She was kind and comforting and exactly what I needed with spiked nerves and having just traveled 7 1/2 hours the day before to be here. Debra at the back desk, Baxter giving me the sleepy juice, Casey and Cliff assisting with the screening and Dr. C never rushed me when I was about to go under, they talked me through step by step on what they will be doing/looking for and made sure I knew that I was in good hands. My heart rate returned to normal and I immediately knew I had come to a facility that gave the kind of medical service that is sometimes lacking in today’s world. I'd never had a colonoscopy before, and I had no idea what clinic to choose. As I was Googling, I came across GastroIntestinal Healthcare and had a gut feeling that this was the place. Dr. Cvetkovski was fantastic, and his amazing team (Shelly, Deborah & Jennifer) were there to make sure everything went smoothly, and they got me in and out of there in no time. Bottom line? I was a little worried going in, but in the end, everything went great!

Dr. C. and his team (reception, medical team) are WONDERFUL!! Very skilled, personable, friendly, informative and just plain kind and caring. I've had colonoscopies done by many doctors over the years (some I would swear were into pain and punishment). Dr. C. is the BEST and you'll sleep blissfully during the whole procedure!

This was my first time getting a GI procedure and it was a really great experience. The team was very professional and made me feel completely comfortable. The procedure was amazingly efficient and Dr. C answered all of my questions thoroughly. I was originally referred to two other providers through my PCP. After having difficulties communicating directly with them for scheduling, I did my own research and found Gastrointestinal Healthcare online. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. I highly recommend working with them.

The idea of a colonoscopy isn’t great but this place is awesome. Everyone from the front desk to the end of the procedure was wonderful. So sweet, so kind.
