I was there yesterday to pick up a friend after his eye surgery. They allowed me to visit him at the post op recovery room. I was shocked to see a female nurse wearing a leggings as part of her uniform. There she was walking around showing her Camel Toe. This is not the attire of a professional more so of a noble nurse. And why they’re allowing this hideous outfit in a medical profession. I called their attention about this and hope something can be done.

This place is a factory. You are hustled in & out for surgery & you're jammed into the prep area like sardines, separated only by curtains. I could hear every medical conversation. There is zero privacy. As soon as your surgery is done, they rush you into a wheelchair to go so they can have that bed. I have been to other out patient surgical centers & did not experience anything like this. The nurse I had, before he placed the IV, i showed him where I had the best vein. Did he listen, Nope. He had to jab it into my hand, the vein rolled & my hand blew up. I was black & blue & in pain for almost a week. (Photo supplied was taken day 3 after the swelling went down.) He wound up using the vein I told him to use in the beginning. I will say that the Anesthesiologist was very kind & patient with me. I was nervous because I mistakenly thought I would be asleep for the surgery not just a twi-sleep. She explained everything to me. She held my hand. She could not have been nicer or more comforting. The staff in the operating room were also very professional & all introduced themselves to me. The receptionist had told me that the nurses would call my pick up person. My friend even called in to make sure that she would be notified. However, naturally, no one called her; until I did as I was being hustled out of the bed & into a wheelchair. I really didn't need to experience a wait after the stress of the surgery. There is a parking garage. I know the surgical center does validate a portion of the time. Other than the actual surgical staff, I would not recommend this place. Find a different surgeon if this is the place they use. Surgery is stressful enough without feeling like cattle.

My reason for the horrible rating is that although the surgery center had my correct phone number and alternate contact details on record, there was an error with the primary mailing address so I never got a bill for the small coinsurance amount due. 3 YEARS LATER, I get a call from a collection company demanding payment. Of course since the collection company had multiple alternate ways to reach me from the account record the surgery center gave them including an unchanged phone number it took all of about 5 minutes to clear the account after the collection agency made one phone call. SO BEWARE of billing that never reaches you. Remember that the surgery center charges separately and apparently makes no effort other than snail mail to reach you if payment is not received.
