I had Liz prep me in pre-op for outpatient surgery. She was phenomenal. I was concerned about being under anesthesia due to a medical condition I have and she was so caring and attentive to keeping me calm and so willing to hear my concerns and take my symptoms seriously when they occurred. She even popped her head in my room post-op to see if I was okay and say “yeah, you did it!” when she wasn’t assigned to me post-op. I’m a very intuitive person and it was very apparent to me that she has a kind and pure heart that genuinely cares and wants to help others. I was very pleased and felt comfortable at this facility Everyone here was pleasant and my surgery was over before I knew it and on my way back home. It is a very organized and clean surgery center but the friendliness of all who were involved in my procedure is highly appreciated. I had to undergo a potentially painful, embarrassing urological procedure recently, which was performed at the Beaver Heritage Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center. What a pleasant experience I had... First of all, registration was quick and efficient, and my intake nurse, Torina was very kind. There was a bit of a wait, but when my time came, I was whisked away. All I remember was anxiously commenting how bright the OR lights were - I blinked - and I heard this sweet angelic voice saying, “Time to wake up, Dr. Fusco.” Music to my ears. THANKS to MAC (Monitored Anesthesia Care). This is the same anesthesia I use daily in performing colonoscopy examinations. We take it for granted, BUT I think we forget exactly how the miracle of MAC can turn a frightening, embarrassing, painful procedure into a pleasant dream.
