I scheduled an appointment specifically for a therapeutic back pain injection, ensuring I took time off work and arranged necessary transportation for the procedure. Upon arrival, after completing all the initial paperwork and waiting for the physician, I was informed that the injection could not be performed that day for a reason that should have been clearly communicated when the appointment was booked. The administrative staff or intake personnel failed to properly triage my case or communicate the necessary pre-requisites. This lack of foresight and internal communication is profoundly unprofessional. I spent significant time preparing, traveling to the clinic, and waiting, only to be turned away. This was a complete waste of my time and left me with my pain untreated and my schedule severely disrupted. I cannot recommend this clinic. They clearly do not value their patients' time and demonstrate poor organizational standards in scheduling and procedure management. Avoid this facility if you expect professional service.

I attempted to schedule an appointment using my insurance, which is in-network with this office. However, I was told they would not schedule me unless my attorney signed a lien. I am unable to proceed with a lien and cannot afford to pay out-of-pocket. It is extremely frustrating to be denied care despite having valid in-network insurance. It feels like the decision is being based on payment preference rather than patient care. I would not recommend this office based on my experience.

Never one time asked me “How are you feeling?” Unacceptable and terrible communication skills. The only person in this Clinic that has given me more than TEN MINUTES is Dennis the PA, for pain management. I HAD TO ASK!!!! Dr. Sahota (surgeon) if I could get on the gurney so that he would see how my leg does not work properly. I had to ask if he wanted to see how my leg doesn’t work—UNACCEPTABLE!!! FINALLY, after 4 months, he referred me to a hip specialist. Always knows more and cuts you off. He doesn’t know my pain!! Because he won’t take the time to LISTEN!!! So MANY miscommunications between the Injection side of the office and the patient office side. I waited 30 more days to have two epidurals, and when I got into the office, the MA was giving me a “new patient exam!” Second visit, Karen, the PA injectionist, came in, and gave me two bursa injections (4-5 minutes) and on the way out, I had to stop her and ask “what am I supposed to do now?” I knew the one injection was done improperly, because I could feel the fluid running down towards my knee (I worked as a phlebotomist! A flub shot that I had to pay for. Speed!Speed! Speed!! Nurses and receptionists are kind. A patient needs TIME to talk to the doctor about their pain issues and DISCUSS progress or non progress (whether they do PT or not!!) Dr. Sahota was running an hour behind and I get that, but give me MY TIME that I pay thousands of dollars for. Dr. Shoham performed two epidurals. He walked in with a mask on and said “I’m Dr. Shoham, where is your pain?” And then I was put under. I NEVER saw the doctor’s face who was performing a procedure on me. UNPROFESSIONAL!! Those shots bombed also. I know it’s not a perfect science. Dr. Sahota may be good, and that’s why I was going back for 6 MONTHS. He gets a C- in communication skills!!!! I hope he takes this critique to heart—Sahota you have got to give the patient the TIME THAT THEY PAY FOR, no matter how late that you are running behind. I deserve a written apology, but instead, I’ll get a rejection letter. I let loose after that 4 minute visit! Good Riddance!!!!!

My experience with Apex Spine has been absolutely first-class, and I cannot recommend them enough if you are looking for spine care in the Tri-Cities. From the very first call to reviewing my imaging and options with Cory Wolf, I knew I was in the right place. They didn’t just push another steroid injection that would have been a temporary fix. Instead, they took the time to listen, examine me, and give me real options. Dr. Sahota, my surgeon, was incredible. He explained everything clearly, laid out the risks and benefits, and gave me confidence in choosing a microdiscectomy. The pre-op process was smooth yet very thorough — every question about the procedure, at-home care, and medications was answered with patience and detail. Surgery day could not have gone better. The pre-surgical nurses were amazing, making sure I felt prepared and comfortable. Dr. Sahota and his team delivered exactly what they promised. After surgery, the nurses managed my pain, got me moving, and made sure I was ready to go home. The very next day, they removed my drain in-office and answered even more of my questions. Apex even followed up with a personal call just to check on me — something that really shows how much they care. Now at Day 7, I already feel so much better. There have been the normal ups and downs that come with any surgery, but because Dr. Sahota and his team set clear expectations from the start, I knew exactly what to expect and feel confident about my recovery. If you are in the Tri-Cities and dealing with back issues, Apex Spine and Dr. Sahota are the place to go. They combine world-class care with genuine compassion — I’m grateful I trusted them with my spine surgery.

Dr. Caleb is wonderful. I'm glad that I found Apex. He's committed to getting answers about my back pain and not just herding me through the system. My experience thus far has been impressive. There is a reason this clinic gets such good ratings!
