I’ve had experience with a number ophthalmology offices and Anderson Eye in Bay City is by far the very best. Dr Pan is personable & open & extremely knowledgeable. Maybe best of all is his staff. Every person I’ve had any experience with is polite, kind, anxious to assist and also well trained. It’s a pleasure to deal with that office and I would highly recommend them.

The technicians, the doctor. And the appointment scheduler were all wonderful, but the best thing, to be honest with you, is their marketing department. They have a wonderful on call message, I was on hold for quite a while waiting for the receptionist to be free of previous calls, which is normal. But their music, the tone of their voices, the frequency of coming back and letting you know where you are in que was just fantastic. Probably one of the best experiences I've ever had while being on hold with a company.I finally took the option of having a call back , and that was very easy , also (And i'm looking forward to the procedure, so I have to have done soon!!)

I have my concerns about this place. I was tired of the poor selection of glasses elsewhere, so I decided to go to Anderson. I was thinking that their selection would be more stylish, and I knew that they were going to be pricier. Holy cow, my glasses ended up costing more than my car is worth. We finally got the price down to a level that is still more than I have ever paid in a lifetime of wearing glasses. Within one month, I noticed that the finish on the metal "designer" frame was worn off in several spots. I took them back to Anderson, and the technician told me he had used the equivalent of a Magic Marker to make the spots go away. There was also a scratch on the lens, and he said they would replace the glasses using their insurance. I agreed, and the new glasses seem better. However, In going to their store multiple times throughout this process, I had the misfortune of encountering a very rude employee. She has a whiny, sing-songy, California-ish way of talking, and what comes out of her mouth tends to be condescending - not just to me, but to others as well. When I would arrive, I found myself waiting for the next technician, praying that I would not get her. When I did get her, she would get me so worked up, I would talk to myself all the way home. I find it hard to believe that they would keep her on staff. More importantly, I appreciate that they stood behind their merchandise, but I question the quality of their products when they degrade so quickly. On another issue, I see Dr. Hazen for a problem that I was having with my eyes. I felt as though I was in good hands. He was friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. The problem cleared up as long as I continued using the ointment he prescribed. Unfortunately, when I contacted his office nine months later to get a prescription renewal, they told me that I would have to have another doctor's appointment first. This, after just 9 months? It really bugs me that I will now have to pay $90 out of pocket for the deductible on the office call, so the prescription is going to cost $90 more than it should. I told them this, and there has been no response.

Andersen Eye always has a great atmosphere and comfort. All the staff are very professional and knowledgeable. Always caring for your concerns. Dr. Schteingart is great! She makes sure your vision is the best it can be. Explains how she is able to understand why you are having issues with vision and let's you know of changes or if the same. Great patient care and makes you feel comfortable. Would give it a 10! ;)

Everyone is so polite. They make you feel comfortable especially when working with your eyes. Couldn't ask for a better eye doctor who gives well explained answers. Also the frame and lens staff give you their true opinion as to what suits you best. Great place to go.
