I was recommended Hodges Eyecare and Surgical Center when my optometrist told me I had cataracts. I was able to get an appointment quickly for them to see what I needed. All options were explained. I got my right eye done first and my left eye done the next week. I had a great recovery and now have 20/20 vision. All the staff that works there is very friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor who did my surgery, Dr Smith is very skilled and has a gift to do this surgery. I will always recommend Hodges to anyone who is looking for a great group of people
The staff here is excellent. Dr Hodges is such a great eye surgeon and a very great person as well. I felt very confident in going in for my first checkup before scheduling surgery and detailing as to what was needed with the prescribed eye drops needed before my cataract surgery. Once on the operating table and after a few preliminary items then once Dr Hodges started he talked me through what he was doing. The whole procedure was virtually painless and took about 10 minutes or there abouts to complete. Each eye was done a week from each other. I highly recommend Dr Hodges and his staff and clinic to assist you with your eye needs.
If I could give more stars I absolutely would. From the moment you walk in to the finish the employees and the doctor make you feel comfortable. I had cataract surgery on my right eye and will be having it on my left in the coming week. Dr. Smith performed the surgery on my right eye and will be doing my left eye as well. I hate anything near my eyes, from eye drops to makeup, so this was a very nervous time for me. They made me so comfortable it was like I never even had it done. However, I can't tell you how excited and in awe of what I can see now, from colors to words they just pop out. So if anyone is struggling to get eye surgery, take my advice and run don't walk and get to seeing the world as it was meant to be. Thank you Dr. Smith and all of you who made it comfortable.
I went to my eye care center to get new glasses. Imagine my surprise when I was told I had cataracts and would need to have them removed. I was referred to Hodges Eyecare Center. My doctor had a very high opinion of Dr Hodges. When I called for an appointment the very friendly staff was able to get me in quickly. My first appointment had several steps to measure my eyes and cataracts. Each step was expertly handled by staff specialists. Then I saw the doctor who explained the different options I had. Finally I saw the surgery coordinator. She went over the details of insurance and the surgeries. She scheduled a follow up appointment to make the final decision. Today was my final appointment before surgery. Once again the receptionist greeted me and made sure I was seen right away. This time I made the final decisions, signed paperwork and was given pre-op directions . I am very confident that this decision is the best one for me The whole staff has been very supportive from the first contact to the upcoming day of surgery. I am very happy that I am able to have Dr Hodges and his staff take care of me
I don’t normally write reviews but I had to on this one. If you’re on the fence on getting lasik don’t be. I had so much anxiety going into the process and Courtney was the absolute best! She helped me through the process and was so informative about the process. I had a previous consultation at another company and it was not settling to say the least. Dr. Smith was very thorough on the prequalification process and very careful about who is a candidate for this surgery. Not just taking money from anyone. I am post op day 2 and already seeing 20/20 or better. The surgery itself was seamless and there was the latest technology laser available. I can’t say enough about Courtney the lasik coordinator she helped me through the process and made me feel at ease. I can’t say I would have taken the plunge without her but now that I can see with pristine vision without contacts or glasses I am so extremely grateful! And the surgery itself was not as bad as my brain told me it would be I would do it again.
